The 2025 season was one of growth, determination, and teamwork.
Competing in the Premier Netball Competition challenged us every week. We faced strong teams and kept improving with every game.
Our hard work and dedication truly showed when we represented our school at the 2025 Lower North Island Tournament in A Grade. Entering ranked 31st, our goal was to finish higher and we did 25th out of 62 teams. It was a tough tournament that tested us, but towards the end, we found our rhythm and started winning. It was an incredible experience that pushed us to our limits and brought us even closer as a team.
Congratulations to the G.O.A.T Jenni Brewer, who was awarded the LNISS Life Member Award — such a well-deserved honour!
We have seen huge improvement both individually and as a group. Our skills, communication, and confidence on court have grown so much. With a younger team this year, everyone stepped up, showing maturity, leadership, and commitment both on and off the court.
As senior players finishing up, it’s special to look back on how far we’ve come. In 2023, we started building our legacy by winning the Taranaki Championship, which earned us a spot in the Premier Competition for 2024. That year, we carried the same drive and won the Lower North Island B Grade title, which took us into A Grade this season. It’s been an unforgettable journey filled with hard work, laughter, and growth. We’re proud of what we’ve achieved and know the next generation will carry the legacy forward.
This year, we also coached skills and drills for our Yr1–4 netballers on Saturday mornings. It’s been amazing to see how much the younger girls have improved thanks to everyone’s effort and enthusiasm.
